Neck Pain (Updated)
I don’t know if it’s the way I’ve been sleeping or my lack of sleep, but I’m been experiencing pretty bad pain on the back of my neck and head. Can anyone recommend how to avoid getting it next time? I try to sleep on one pillow on my back, but I often toss and turn and end up sleeping on my side.
*Update*So… I had to leave work early today because that neck pain was causing me to get a migraine. I came home, took some ibuprofen, and slept for 4 hours. Good thing is, I feel better now. I might just have to sleep on 2 pillows now to support my neck and head. -
Venting.
What’s the point of me reaching out to people if they never respond to me in a timely fashion? What’s the point of trying to set up something if I’m just going to not hear from them? What’s the point of putting myself out there if this is the same pattern that I fall into? Again, I find myself at a fork in the path of giving up on dating. It’s too frustrating when I put in so much work and I just keep getting blown off. I’m annoyed with someone who I don’t hear from over a week (or more) whenever I ask them when they’re free to hang out. This makes me just want to stay inside and not talk to anyone for a while. What’s the point of me even trying when others don’t even bother to lift a finger?

On The Way Home
Because of tropical storm Andrea slowly making its way up the east coast, as I was walking home from work, it started to downpour. My work shoes are pretty old and slightly beat up, so they began to absorb water and thus, my socks got soaked. I finally got home and began undressing. My home is mostly hardwood and tile. I slipped off the socks and because they were wet, they were a little difficult to take off. So, I yanked and got the sock off, but I also recreated this (at 11 seconds):
Thus, my humiliation is complete for today. Hope you guys were quick on your toes and not on your face today.

A little annoyed with someone. I asked if she is free Friday night at the beginning of the week, and she mentioned that she might be free. I enthused that we should meet up Friday night. I inquired on Wednesday if she was still up to maybe meet Friday night, and no answer… even though she has logged onto her account a few times between that message and now. What is so hard about saying, “Yes, let’s hang out.”, “Sorry, can’t. Busy with work/etc.”, or “Sorry. No longer interested.”?

In to Ex
Back a good while ago, I wrote about how I use my humor as a self-deprecating weapon. Basic breakdown was that while dealing with bullying, I learned instead to embrace those jabs and instead turn them into the worst attacks at myself to the point where the bully would be so disgusted with me. People who make verbal jabs often do it to gain control over your emotions. But, I learned that by flipping it around and possessing their laughs or disgust, I can become the victor.
But now I’ve noticed something else with my sense of humor. When I was younger, I was one of the more shy people. I’ve never really engaged anyone in conversation unless they did first. I never actively went up to some stranger, say hi, and make some small talk. It was until I would say freshman of high school when this really all changed. As a joke at homecoming, I was invited to join in my brother’s group of friends (mainly juniors and seniors). A senior girl I met just that night was in the group. So, I start just bustin’ some moves, and I proceeded to unbutton my dress shirt, took it off, twirled it in the air, and threw at that girl. Everyone in the group laughed pretty hard (whilst my brother just had his face in his hand, shaking his head). And with that, it got me noticed enough that a random black girl came over, pulled me by the arm, brought me over to her group of friends, and started dancing with me.Throughout the years, I started to develop my sense of humor. I loved making fun of my friends, making them and others laugh, to the point where it started to make me approach more people. I always classified myself as an introvert. It wasn’t some crippling internal fear of human contact, but just more that I never really approached anyone new unless there was a necessary reason to; i.e. if they dropped something, if I needed directions, etc. But, I think that one of the things that really helped me come out of that introversion was my sense of humor. I do also say that working in retail kinda helped too.But mostly, I know that everyone loves to laugh. I started expanding my vocabulary of humor and are always willing to give things a try. It started from just making jokes to completely making a food out of myself at parties and events. I even branched out to try my wittiness on my Facebook with Channel Ben News, where I relay a news story and then make fun of it. I developed a love for puns. I make fun of my ethnicity.I think it’s because laughter is one of the rare things that can really bring people together. And what’s a better way to introduce yourself than making people laugh? I’m still not fully extroverted, but I think it’s to the point where I’m starting to learn not to be so hard on myself. I’m teaching myself to say hello when I make eye contact with a random stranger on the street, in an elevator, etc. If I can’t at least say something, I always smile back at them. At parties now, I can approach someone and introduce myself, tell a few jokes, and learn more about that person.I think that I often switch back and forth between introversion and extroversion. It really depends on my mood and the surrounding people. If everyone is having a great time, I’m more likely to be extrovert. If it’s a heavy situation, I tend to be reserved and quiet. But if we had a giant Xanga party, you bet my bony Asian ass that I’ll be talking to everybody, running around screaming, or perhaps even dancing with the power of my irresistible pelvic thrusts.@TheBeastWithThe4DirtyPaws inspired me to write this with her In To Ex post (well, more like reminded

What a Fun Night
Tonight, my CEO wanted to thank my department for doing a great job with our annual event. So, she treated us to a dinner and a show. For dinner, we went to a small French restaurant just outside of Times Square called Chez Josephine. Had some nice white wine, Maine Lobster Bisque soup, and a rare filet mignon with pomme frites. So delicious. And it better be if she was paying $12 for just the soup.
Afterwards, we went to a theater about a block away. Normally, I’m not a show type person. Tonight actually changed my mind about going to shows in the city now. The performance was called Old Hats. It’s a Vaudeville style mime improv comedy kind of show. Most of the dialogue mostly came from the band, who was amazing. I think what really caught my attention was the fact that it was a theater type show for people who do not like theater. It played somewhat heavily on improv, which was probably the biggest draw-in for me (since I love improv). One of my bosses was dying laughing next to me. And random but BLEW MY MIND fact: If you watched the series finale of The Office and/or Better Off Ted, you would know the actor Malcolm Barrett. One of my bosses was actually childhood friends with him! It literally just blew my mind when she told me that. Also, on the way home on the subway, I saw this big muscly guy with a fitted cap, tattoos, chains… I didn’t pay much attention to him because I was listening to my music. But then, I looked at him for a little bit… and he had a kitten in his hands. The kitten was playing with his fingers, and the guys proceed to pet it, play with it, give it kisses, snuggle it against his face; it also fell asleep in his hands and he placed its body against his ear to listen to its heartbeat. It was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen in my life.I hope everyone had a great night. And remember, Ben loves you. *INTERNET HUGS* -
Slurpies (NSFW?)
Fructose sugar, water, ascorbic acid, citric acid, enzymes, protein, zinc, and much more. These are the ingredients that you would usually find in protein shakes. These are also the ingredients you find in semen.
New research have some that numerous species, such as female squid, consume semen for its health benefits. Some scientists even consider it as a viable superfood.
SCIENCE.
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Are You The Droid I’m Looking For?
The end of my phone contract is approaching in mid July (GAH, too many references to end of Xanga), and I would like to be in the search of a new phone. My current phone, the Droid 2 Global, served me okay. It had its hiccups: randomly disengaging the SD card, random dropped reception, lag, keyboard randomly typing its own letters, and randomly restarting on its own.
I want to stay on my current plan mainly because I wish to keep my unlimited data (which is no longer offered). Because of that, it would mean that I cannot buy a new phone at a subsidized reduced price and therefore have to buy the phone outright at full price; that would range from $500 to $700.I’ve ruled out getting a Windows phone since they are currently running behind in app development and maintaining software updates, as well as an iPhone because, well, everyone has an iPhone (plus, I feel that it’s too restricting). Originally, I wanted to get a phone with a slide-out keyboard. I hate typing on touch screens because I have clumsy fat fingers; I also type way too quickly and therefore, often misspell words on touch screen phones. Since my carrier offers only 3 phones of that feature, yet all are either have 4″ or smaller screens, horrible battery life, and aren’t up to date on software, I decided to just sacrifice the keyboard and move to an all-touch phone. So, I’ve narrowed down to three choices:———————–1. Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD
Why This Phone:
• 4G LTE capability• 3300 mAh battery (big-ass battery mean long-ass battery life. They say even after heavy use of apps, streaming music and video, can still last up to 13 hours on a single charge)• 4.7 inch multi-touch screen• 16 GB internal memory with expandable MicroSD• 8 MP camera and 1080p video recording• Android Jellybean OS 4.1—————————–2. HTC Droid DNA
Why This Phone:
• 4G LTE capability• 5 inch multi-touch screen• 16 GB internal memory (but no expandable MicroSD) *sad face*• 8 MP camera and 1080p video recording (both cameras)• Android Jellybean OS 4.1 (upgradable to 4.2)——————————–3. HTC One
Why This Phone:• 4G LTE capability• 4.7 inch multi-touch screen• Booming dual front speakers• 32/64 GB internal memory (but no expandable MicroSD) *sad face*• 4 MP camera (meh) and 1080p video recording (both cameras)• Android Jellybean OS 4.1 (upgradable to 4.2)I found out that this phone will now be carried on my carrier, but not until later this summer (hopefully before my contract is up).————————————-So, what I ask of you, my Xanga family, do any of you own these phones? What is your experience with them? Do you recommend any of these phones? I only ever got to play with the Droid DNA and it felt comfortable and suitable for my kind of usage (although it is pretty massive at more than 5 inches).
