  • I don’t know why, but this new interface hasn’t been compelling me enough to write. Before I had access to posting, I wanted to write. I wanted to get my thoughts down. And now… because it’s not the same as version 1.0, I think it has lost its appeal. The community isn’t around as much, everything requires searching around for instead of just being in one place…. Xanga 2.0 lost the appeal that 1.0 had. It makes me sad panda.

  • Agreed. I don’t think I’ll continue blogging on Xanga next year.

  • I find myself lucky to have subscribed to so many people that I can read down the line and find what they have done. I haven’t tried searching for what people have written that doesn’t come up in my reading panel, though.

    • The Reading page is a good listing, but I like to see the title (and maybe a small exert) like how the original Xanga was instead of the entire blog. With so much text on the page, it doesn’t motivate people enough to scroll past it to search for other people’s posts.

  • You’ve got a good point. The interface feels a bit off but I can’t put my finger on it. There’s a lot less activity here which doesn’t help. I hope they’ll continue to enhance this site.
